Touhula’s day-care focusing on exercise is filled with good energy. We encourage children to take part in versatile and creative activities throughout the day. Exercise is present in all learning areas, and each day the children will get to explore their limits and experience success in a sporty environment. The kids will also learn how to express themselves by means of exercise. There’s always room and time for natural exercise and play, both indoors and outdoors. At these day-cares, the children will get a minimum of two hours of exercise per day. Our exercise-oriented day-cares grow the children into happy go-getters who have discovered the joys of exercise and a brisk, healthy lifestyle.
There’s joy in playing, moving, balancing, and swinging.
At Touhula, children are divided into small groups during the day. This aims at ensuring that each child is seen and heard as an individual. We create a learning environment that allows for the children to practice their interaction and social skills. Small group activities support the independence, involvement, and playing skills of the children. This also gives the early education staff a genuine opportunity to be present, to react to the needs of individual children, and to teach them emotional skills.
Please contact the group directly in matters relating to the everyday activities of your child such as:
• absences from the daycare and changes in the hours of care
• a special diet, if any
• changed contact details.

CONSISTENCY CREATES BETTER COOPERATION
All Touhula daycare centres share the same practices and policies that are designed with the children’s best interest at heart. This makes everyday life less complicated and ensures smooth cooperation between children, parents and employees.

SMALL GROUP ACTIVITIES
In Touhula, we work in small groups during the day. This creates better interaction, less noise, and children receive more attention and personal time. Children are accepted as individuals, making them better equipped to build friendships and develop their emotional and play skills. Care providers will get to know the children in their own group better, allowing them to be more responsive to the different needs of each child. It is also easier to encourage children to play and to show initiative when working in small groups.
INDIVIDUAL EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PLAN
Families are the best experts when it comes to their children, and we pay close attention to their wishes regarding daycare. Each child will have an individual early childhood education and care (ECEC) plan, prepared together by the family and the daycare centre.
OPEN INTERACTION WITH PARENTS
In addition to the ECEC discussions that take place twice a year, parents’ meetings and family events form an integral part of cooperation. Another key factor promoting open interaction with parents are the daily chats with employees when children are dropped off in the morning and picked up in the afternoon.
ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS CHANNEL
Most of our daycare centres use electronic communication that supports our daily cooperation and chats with parents. This system enables us to deliver weekly bulletins and other materials, and puts an end to those pieces of paper floating around in backpacks.
At Touhula daycare centres we regularly measure customer satisfaction and develop our operations based on the feedback we receive. In the customer satisfaction survey conducted in October 2016, Touhula reached a total rating of 4.32 (on a scale of 1-5). 96% of our customers are happy to recommend us.
According to the latest survey, children feel very much at home in Touhula while parents appreciate our friendly and courteous customer service. Although we are happy with the results, we recognise the constant need for development. Our goal is to provide the best possible customer experience for children and parents alike.
In addition to full-time daycare, we offer various flexible daycare solutions for the different needs of families. Unfortunately we can only offer a limited number of part-time care agreements, so please contact the manager directly to find out if any places are available.

Sponsors and partners
