What is Touhula like as an employer?

Inspiring, developing, and growing.

As far as the children are concerned, the key is teachers who are inspired by their work and committed to the little ones, and the whole staff that works motivated by these same goals.

What kinds of expectations do you have for the coming year?

I look forward to shared successes and even closer regional cooperation.

What are your future expectations in Touhula?

I expect to work with Touhula for a long time to come. My future expectations for Touhula are the continuing excitement and a desire to be the best in our field. I also look forward to the opportunities and challenges that the company is sure to offer in the future as well.

What was the most memorable moment in your career in Touhula?

I have enjoyed working for Touhula and I can recollect many little big everyday moments. Maybe the most unforgettable period started with the phone call I received from our Managing Director, asking me to begin managing the new facility to be opened in Tampere or Vantaa.

Without any hesitation, I said I’d go to Vantaa and the next thing I knew, I was looking for a tenant for my apartment in Oulu and feeling my biggest dream about to come true. So in August 2015, the daycare centre of my dreams was opened and I got to manage it for the first year before taking up my current duties as Service Manager.

What’s the nicest memory in your Touhula career?

There have been so many fun moments from the everyday life, both from the time I was working with a kids’ group, with my coworkers, the children, and the families, and as a Service Manager.

Situation comedy has not been in short supply during my Touhula years, and the laughter has brought me both years of prolonged life and a few laugh lines around the eyes.

The funniest memory in your Touhula career

Without a doubt, the one time we went shopping to the local Prisma store with the preschoolers. The kids went back and forth in the aisles, holding shopping lists, and bravely asking for help from the store staff. They received a lot of attention – smiles and encouraging words from both the store’s personnel and other shoppers. We found everything we needed and packed our shopping bags as is the fashion. It was a touching and fun trip for everyone involved.
